About

Our History

Maculture Digitals was founded in 2008 as Maculture Home Entertainment. A blog was created under this name to share arts and culture news and the activities of its artists. This initiative was celebrated in the newsletter of OCPA (Observatory of Cultural Policies in Africa). Two musical albums, Maculture and FolkTale, were released under this name without any legal or corporate status.

In 2022, with the release of Afro Folk Hop and the instrumental albums, the name was changed to Maculture Digitals, still without a legal or corporate backing. In March 2025, its founder decided to take a bold step and legalize this new structure.

Maculture Digitals has created its recording studio in Yaoundé and called it The Creative Hub. The name reminds visiting creatives that they are not there to play, but to give their best creativity.
